I want to let you know that this proposal of surging the rent is illegal since it is clearly mentioned in the contract that priced would be changed bi-annually. Apart from this, prices are supposed to be increased at a rate of 3%, however, you decided to raise by 5%. Both of these statements are against the clauses of the contract. First of all, I request you to go through the contract which was signed by yourself before assigning the flat to me. I am sending a copy of the contract with this letter.
