As a science student through my academic life, I have always been wonderd how a scientic theory works and have come back to find out how much details it takes to research a theory in order to create a successful project based on that. This habit of questioning myself guided my decesion to study in textile engineering in graduation. Because Clothing industry in Bangladesh is in its rise and by joining this industry will allow me to work on a huge practical application of a technology.
First two years of my bachelore study, I got --------. Within my syllabus knowedge I started working by opening own blog-Textileinforia. blogspot. com- with the humble goal of sharing information that accurately sketches textile technology & trade. I always tried to enlarge the knowledge through normal people, aim to make them educated & realized about the reality. Because I strongly believe that knowledge should be free to all & only knowledge has the ability solve all the complication. I feel a large number of student & textile professionals in my country are very keen to learn about textile tecchnology but for language barrier they loss interest or failed to capture the theme eagerly. So I choose to write in native language about those topics which seems to be most obscure aspects. I describe topics elaborately in the easiest way with variety of examples every time. This simple role quickly led to direct activism. I wrote about many topics about the industry such as textile fundamentals, history, international trade agreements, innovative technology, sustainable textile, non woven technology, professional goals, textile definitions with a different point of view. With the overwhelming response from people I started making same effort in videography platform by opening an youtube Channel called textile Inforia. The response was more formidable.
After I graduated from bachelore I was 22, young and still eager to learn but unfortunately it appeared that there are no any future focused prescience textile study in master in my own country. Although the clothing industry was on its huge expansion and contributing heavily into the GDP. Considering circumstances, I prefer to join professionally into the industry to gain practical experience and know details about the trade. My professional experiences that I have gained are quite diversified. My first job was at Hameem group( country leading clothing manufacturer company) as production officer, where I learned a lot of practical knowedge about dyeing technology of denim fabric. However, I switched my job to coast to coast pvt. Ltd, a giant factory for making overcoat & jacket, where I got chance to develop completely new buyer, do garments costing, sourching manifold raw materials locally and internationally, negotiating with buyer before placing order. I have been setting time and action plan, supervising the sampling process, checking and justifying purchase order, LC & sales contacts, developing fabrics, trims & accessories and ensuring the test process by following buyer requirements, Handling scop chart(global certificate of compliance for producing organic & sustainable product). I always envisaged myself enjoying working on some technical and commercial activities. I always like to delve deeper into the subjects that interest me. This passion along with my hardworking ability has not only placed me in a top professional but also enabled me to gain detail knowledge of subject related to textile technology and industry. I was well on my way to become a jack of the trade. But during my work I started to realize that the knowledge I posses right now is not enough for my future development as a professional & utilization of my potential. I need to learn more about advanced management skills, advanced quality management, international trade, retail & regulations, as well as innovative textile technologies to make my career passion driven. I cannot wait to become that expert on textile trade as its my passion to research and examine large-scale international business, global economics, and modern management skills in depth. In general, I'm interested in learning how technological innovation affects all topics. I want to serve my country by being a specialist with a broad range of practical and theoretical knowledge, which is why I am confident that Hockshule University's Postgraduate program in textile management and technology program will help me to achieve my objectives.
Working in to the core of Bangladesh garments business, I realized that in spite of having a various possibilities, this particular industry is still cheap labour dependent. There we have a big group of highly capable & keen to learn workforce but the industry is not being able to bring a competitive policy yet which can increase profit margin, improve product quality, enhance efficiency, insure industrial flexibility & innovation. We are now living in the age of competition in producing improved quality over cost reduction policy. A few companies out of the giant industry started the initiative to Fetch new policy.
Bangladesh is the station of order driven manufacturer not the firms are forecast driven. Therefore the industry has to rely largely on intermediaries. Firms are not involved in marketing activities. Retailers & distributors dominate the demand, playing key roles, taking a big share of profit. Bangladeshi companies are gradually looking at these issues. And the industry will require a huge number of experts from different specializations related to textile trade and technology for implementing competitive policy. As a result, if I can develop the requisite skills and experience, it will be a fantastic opportunity for me to be a part of this progress and contribute to my country's textile industry.
