In few decade ago, online shopping was not popular method among people but with emerge of internet and smart phone, everyone can order almost everything. However, in this essay I will discuss both advantages and disadvantages of this trend and will explain why online shopping more useful than some drawbacks. Indeed, online shopping became more popular during the corona pandemic as online shopping was the only option left when all stores were closed. Despite its benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic, online shopping has much more benefits, such as, it is best way to order goods in modern life style, where everyone has only limited time for shopping. In another word, it save people’s time because to visit a shop at least two three hours need for individual. Thus, that amount of time can be saved by using virtual shopping. Moreover, since those virtual shopping platforms operating world wildly, whatever not available in the local market, can be ordered internationally. For instance, I personally love to buy things form china because it has variety of online apps such as eBay and aliexpress, . Hence, I can find almost ever thing that I want to buy, or some goods that I purchased could not find in Sir Lanka. Even though, online shopping has spectacular benefits to society, it has some drawbacks as well. The most common issues are, people may not happy with items they receive and the errors which occur during the logistic process may effects for smooth service. Some customer are dissatisfy when they receive their goods for, example, perhaps, they not get what they expect, the quality of the product is poor and it is may be differ than when they order it from the website. One more disadvantage of online shopping is those goods are from international, take more time than seller assume, for example from china to Sir Lanka it takes more than two months arrives goods. As a customer, they do not want wait that long to receive their items, and what if they want to receive their items quickly? . Obvious to receive goods soon, customer has to pay more, that may not be worth to pay compare with the product they want to buy. In conclusion, online shopping will be more popular in the future as it is convenience for customer and those platforms have enormous products availability for customers. It is huge advantage in online shopping. Therefor it has more benefits than its drawbacks
