My name is Varghese Thomas, resident of new Heath Colony. I am writing this letter to compliant to you about the rubbish collection in our neighborhood. The main problem is the rubbish collecting van comes once in two weeks. Due to the long interval of the collection of the litter from our lane, it is heavily deposited and overflowing from bins. This rubbish makes our colony messy and smelly. This awful smell is harmful to the resident in this colony. Moreover, it attracts flies and various insects. This waste produces microorganisms and bacteria. In windy time garbage fell all over the kerb and road in our colony. The situation worsened last week when some of the kids in our colony became sick because of this harmful smell. This situation destroyed the beauty of our colony. I concern about the safety and health of my family members and resident of this colony. Hence I believe this problem should solve as early as possible. To address this problem, the rubbish collection regains once a week to avoid the over following. As a responsible environment officer, you must look into it and resolve this issue with no time.
