Dear admission committee,
It is a pleasure to recommend Abdelrahman Samy for your university as his counselor for three years. Abdelrahman is an energic student who is passionate about computer science and engineering from his first year at Ismailia STEM school. In G10, he participated in ISEF competition with a project about intelligent irrigation systems. As a first-year student, he understood that he needed to gain experience and sharpen his skills. His words “Craftsmen learn from their failure” stocked on my brain, as he said it when he was discussing why he wanted to participate in the ISEF competition with me, and he continuously learns from his failure and mistakes, thereafter, he won the first place on “Smart Education Hackathon”, and currently he works on a research project about lead-acid batteries and water reuse, in a team of four students.
Away from the academic field, Abdelrahman has strong talent in carpentry, whereby he worked under the observation of his father from a very young age. His experience in this field supported him in the project of grade 10, which included making a floating wooden bridge with a particular feature, and he organized sessions to teach his friends the methods and principles of dealing with carpenter machines.
Abdelrahman’s inspiration led him to work on multiple student organizations inside and outside the school. One of the organizations that Abdelrahman brought to our community was the International Climate Olympiads, whereby Abdelrahman was the director of the national organization that registered approximately 425 students to the International Olympiad.
I sincerely hope that you can provide him a seat as a freshman in your College of Engineering.
