Dear Sir, I hope you are doing well in this pandemic. I am writing this letter to inform you that I will not be able to join the office on the given date. In my current organisation, they have just identified the suitable candidate for my profile and the handover process has just began. The process will take approximately 1 month but will try to finish it within 15-20 days. Due to pandemic, the offices are closed so the handover process will be online. The major issue will be the internet connectivity because the candidate identified for my profile is in his native place and recently he was tested Covid positive and now he is in his recovery mode. This might lead to some delay in the handover process. As per the appointment letter my joining date is Monday, 12th July, 2021. I would like to request you to extend my joining date and make it Monday, 2nd August, 2021. Meanwhile I will complete all my procedures in the current organisation.
