Hi, everyone. I’m plesure to welcome you today. Let me just start by introducing myself. My name is Huyen Trang. I’m 14 years old I’m a student at Nguyen Sinh Sac secondary school, in 9K Class. I am delighted to be here today to tell you about my project. As you all know
Viet Nam is a country which has a special culture, there are many traditional games very popular and keep today such as buffalo fighting, cock fighting, mud banger, flying kite, playing chess, …Every game contains a special meaning and different depending on each region. My father grew up in the countryside. Back to that time, there was no computer or smartphones; and toys were really rare and luxurious. So the best choice at that time was the folk game.
And to this day there are many good pastimes and traditions such as folk music, writing letters, paintings… But the tradition that I appreciate is folk games
And
There are several reasons why I appreciate folk games
->First, Joining Vietnamese folk games will be an interesting and memorable experience to learn more knowledge about the traditions as well as the of the Vietnamese.
for example, the "chi chi chanh chanh" game, the children's song used in the game is referring to the historical period of 1856 - 1888 When our country fell into chaos, invaded by the French
=> In addition, it helps me improve my social skills such as teamwork abilities and other skills.
for example O an quan, it requires good counting skills and forethought in order to win. I find it very difficult for me.
=>Particularly, thanks to this game, I have a lot of unforgettable moments. I remember there was a time when i play ''plant bud, plant flowers" game I tore my pants while jumping too high in the air. It was such an embarrassing memory when I recalled it.
But life has changed a lot over the past 50 years, As a result of the modern life, after school time, children in cities are lack of space, and childhood friends to play together. While parents are busy with their business, the children are kept inside 4 concrete walls and entertained themselves with watching television, talked to their toys or playing video games And they're increasingly forgetting about folk games. So we need to help preserve folk games
- The first respect that tradition, do not act to harass or insult folk games
Next we i think we should regularly organize festivals that work on folk games to facilitate people's greater exposure to it.
The mission of our young generation is keeping the beauty of Vietnamese tradition, inspire Vietnamese culture not only to Vietnamese youth but also to foreign friends who are eager to discover Vietnam.
