Dear Allan, Hope all is well with you. I'm just writing to let you know that I won't be able to be with you next summer holiday. I loved the idea of spending the holiday in Brazil, I always hear about how beautiful it is especially in summer, so, I'd like to thank you for asking me to come and spend the vacation with you. As you know, I've landed a new job 3 months ago, and they asked me to fly to London for an international conference about the future of growing economies, so I'll be there for the full month of July. It will be the first business flight I am asked to go for, and I did want to refuse since I am still new to the company. However, I have some good news, I finally found the new apartment next to my new job, the office is only 5 miles away from my building. Although the rent is high, but it will save me some time in the morning and back home. Sorry again for not making it, and let me hear from you soon. Warm wishes, Amr
