My name is Doston Makhmudov and being a third-year student at Nanjing University of Posts and telecommunications, I was pursuing a three-year Master of Business Administration until I decided to stop and follow up with a two-year master’s degree in your college since the outbreak of the global pandemic caused my academic education to be paused for some time. I hereby wish to express my motivation for your scholarship for the 2020/2021 academic year. My love for thefinancial world reflects the whole explanation to apply for the major in International Business. While in high school, I grew wildly curious about obtaining financial education. I was ultimately intrigued by stock market opportunities, foreign exchange, bonds, cash flows and being able to deal with them was huge to me. Getting inspired by the lives of successful entrepreneurs and investors, I ended up looking for ways to make money which I never could. I can even remember having a hard time finding a proper broker in forex trading. Then I eventually came to the realization that the deeper your knowledge and knowhow on money and finance, the wealthier you can be. In this respect, I made a lifelong decision to immerse in the realm of finance and business and learn everything. As to my educational background, right after high school, I entered Tashkent University of irrigation and melioration where I got profound and insightful experience concerning the mechanism of agricultural businesses and how they work and the very outcomes that stem from them when applied in developing countries. And I am in the belief that the knowledge and qualifications that I have achieved so far will be an asset in my future endeavors at your college. The will which makes me opt for St. Clair College comes from the long term research of mine. As a matter of fact, with Canada being one of my favorite countries, I really wanted my two-year education to be totally worthwhile and have a decent learning environment and, as I found out, both quality education and study friendly atmosphere are offered by the college, leading students right through their career path. Because I already am an adult and responsible for my own living, I would not want any financial issues to distract me so that I could stay tuned and concentrated on my studies. Apart from relieving me of my financial burdens, it helps me invest in myself which is what I always try to do as the famous entrepreneur, Warrant Buffet, says the biggest investment ever that you make is to invest in yourself. Having graduated, I have got a number of plans to fulfill, particularly, to specialize in international marketing as I have recently volunteered my knowledge for a start-up company called ‘Thomas’ in Nanjing city as a marketing advisor. And in order to become a useful part of the community, I will always strive to contribute to the wellbeing of society in terms of social, political and technical development.
