A letter for a friend who asked for some advices

I would like to tell you the advantages and disadvantages of your both alternatives. In long term going to college will provide you better chances of working in well paid positions but considering your situation it’s difficult for you to afford living and studying costs. So the best option is to get a job in short term and earn some money to afford your college expenses. In your city there are plenty of job options, well paid and with good subsides like restaurant waiters, local guides and construction workers. For example as a waiter in a restaurant, they pay not only a stable salary but also they cover your health insurance and you can earn more money from getting tips from clients.
