Dear Mr. Bell, I am John Bird father of Julie Bird who is student of Class 5-B in your school, is writing this with regard to the invite that I received for parent teacher interaction for my ward’s poor marks. My immediate manager is currently on annual leave and all of his roles and responsibilities have been handed over to me in addition to my daily routine jobs. Moreover, we have client’s president visiting our construction site on Friday which unfortunately is with the meeting date scheduled by you. My presence is of utmost importance as I have to take the lead of presenting all construction progress and other presentations well. During office hours, I keep a track on my child study by accessing the school portal and downloading all assignments relevant to the child academics. After work hours, I also ensure that home works assigned by the school is duly completed. Moreover, I dedicate my time to oversee that my ward revises those lessons which are taught in the school. Considering all the aforesaid points, I request you reschedule the meeting to other date which is comfortable to you. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely, John Bird
