Humans posses a unique ability to learn and grasp new things. Learning can come from any means. I believe that not only books but many other sources can be a good means of learning in this technological era. Books are the first means of learning for any child. They help to improve imagination skills in toddlers through the pictures. Books are a great source of information for people of all age groups. People tend to prefer books of different genres according to their interests. Old people more often like to read spiritual books while the young generation prefers novels and magazines. With the advent of technology many new means of learning have been evolved. Moreover, internet has become accessible to all which has increased the use of YouTube and Google for learning purposes. The young generations prefer to learn from these platforms because they might find it more interesting to learn from the audio visuals rather than sitting and reading a book. Another great source of learning is learning from experience. There are many skills which can be learnt only through practical like swimming, driving and many more. If the knowledge from the books and other means are blended together and used to improve knowledge then that would lead to efficient learning and will help in all round development. As both books and other sources are helpful in learning it is hard to choose which is better.
