The increasing traffic congestion has become a major problem in many metropolitan cities and town across the globe. This is mainly because of increasing in the number of vehicles, traffic congestion during certain times and outdated traffic management policies. These causes can be reduced by using some measures. With increase in population, the demand for vehicles has been increased. People prefer their own vehicles due to some reasons. Sometimes people park their vehicles by the side of roads due to insufficient parking areas. Another reason for traffic congestion is that everyone wants to go at work and schools at the same time every single day. Moreover, there are many parts in the world which are using traditional traffic management rules. The use of public transportation is one of the most obvious solutions to reduce the impact of traffic congestion. Also, public transport is a cheaper and less stressful option to use to commute from one place to another place. Traffic problem can be minimized by strict implementation of the existing traffic rules can have a great impact on the amount of traffic on the roads. Authorities should approve some innovative technologies at traffic signals and there should be some investment on the parking lots so that people can have enough space to park their vehicles in parking areas instead of parking them by the roadsides. In conclusion, It is almost impossible to completely eliminate traffic congestion from our lives. But we can take some steps to reduce the impact it has on the society.
