Last week, my family relocated to a new location, and today was my first day at my new school. Everything was new, including the classrooms, teachers, and students. I felt lonely at first because I didn't know anyone there. My new students were looking at me curiously as I stood on my own two feet. I couldn't think of anything to say to break the ice. I was miserable. The teacher then introduced me to the entire class and asked the class monitor to assist me in getting to know my classmates and the school rules. Carol is a fantastic classroom monitor. She went out of her way to show me around the school. She also assisted me in making friends with my classmates. On my first day at my new school, she made sure I was never alone. Although I miss my former pals, I enjoy my new school and classmates. I'm hoping to make a lot of nice friends while I'm here.
