The picture below compares the figures for selling 3 different types of books, such as kids' books, adult’s fictions and educational books from 2002 to 2006 in one country. The sales amount of adult’s fiction was 45 million dollars which was the highest figure in 2002. However, the year 2003 witnessed a rapid drop to 37 million dollars in 2003, and then a slight rise to 40 million dollars in 2004, followed by a sharp fall to 30 million dollars in 2006. The year 2002 saw a staple increase of selling children’s book start at approximately 33 million dollars, and then there was a peak to 55 million dollars in 2006, which was the highest-selling figure of the three types’ books. The number of educational books shown a sharp rise from approximately 22 million dollars to 33 million dollars between 2002 and 2003. Nevertheless, a dramatic fall took place from 2003 to 2005, was 25 million dollars. And then, there was a rapid growth from 2005 to 2006. Overall, it is clear that the selling trends of the children’s book and educational book were upward, however, the selling trend of adult’s fiction was downward between 2002 and 2006.
