It is widely accepted that learning English in a country where English is a national language is better than the other methods but not the only way. From my point of view, I agree with this opinion for many reasons.
An English-speaking nation provides us the best condition to be surrounded by our target language - English. It creates an environment where we can study English in both input way and output way daily. Obviously, people have to communicate or exchange the information in English (speak in English, listen to English, read and write in English). All of these will make our mind get used to this language so that we can consume it with ease and use it more fluently day by day.
Nevertheless, living near native speakers has never been the only method to learn any language. Because there are plenty of evident, which can be found on YouTube, show that a lot of bilinguals, language learners, who are fluent in their second, third language, or English for example, even if they have never been to any abroad countries. In the era when the Internet are widely accessible, the information has spread with the fasted speech ever, it is not hard to find a million of sources on the Internet, which contain all skills that we want to learn. Besides that, social media was established so that we are giving the opportunities to contact with any people live outside the boundaries. Therefore, we can make relationship with them and learn English through online conservation. Furthermore, at the current time, there are also websites, applications, such as Cambly, where we can learn with English tutors one by one, so that learners can eliminate the fear of couldn't be able to communicate in English.
To summary, living in an English-speaking region provides people worthy chances to be proficient in that language. However, we still get a diversity of sources to consume a new language without doing that.
