The chart gives information about how the data of immigration, emigration and net migration in the UK changed between 1999 to 2008. Overall, there were three groups in the chart which were immigration, emigration and net migration. Both immigriation and emigration went up, but net migration still remained stable over the time. From 1999 to 2008, immigration still the highest point from beginning to the end of the period In 1999, the number of people who came to live in the UK peaked at 450, 000 while the figure for people who emigrated was only 290, 000. From 2008, there was a sharp increase in the number of immigration at 590, 000. Similarly, the number of emigrants also grew slightly to 420, 000.
