My name is Parmiss Nikoosokhan Tayar and I am writing this cover letter to express my interest in the Ph. D. position in your research group. I have completed my master's degree (majoring in Cellular and Developmental Biology) at Royan Institute’s Reproductive Biomedicine and Stem Cell Research Centers for Embryology, Tehran, Iran. Right now I am in the process of searching for a suitable doctoral program in the field of cellular and molecular biology. Having reviewed the studentship program, I believe I am a qualified candidate and would like to apply.
I received my undergraduate education in Biology at Kharazmi University of Tehran, a non-profit public higher-education institution, under the tuition fee scholarship from the Ministry of science, research, and technology.
In my first year of undergraduate studies, I decided to enter the job market while earning a living. I can say that it was the best decisions of my life at that time because it was a very valuable experience for the later more professional stages of my life. However, it was not at all easy to study and work at the same time, and that is why I did not get the desired grade in some courses at first. But every semester I tried harder to get better grades in my specialized courses and practical courses. During the penultimate year of my undergraduate course, I decided to specialize in Biology. Making a decision to pursue Masters immediately after undergraduate education was a tough one, mainly because of issues regarding funds for higher education. This is the reason I decided to appear for Graduate Test of the Ministry of Science, research, and technology. Qualifying the test with an appropriate grad entitled me to receive a scholarship from the Ministry of Science, research, and technology to fund my post-graduation.
