For decades, the gap between rich and poor has never ceased to draw public attention. This leads to the fact that it is a responsibility among the rich to help the poor, who face daily hurdles. From my perspective, I completely agree with this.
The main reason that the rich should give priority to help the poor is that they are commonly those who have the financial capability, which makes monetary aid becomes manageable. Taking schooling as an example, such billionaires as Bill Gate could invest his budget in both public and private school for facilities such as tables, chairs, books or even provide scholarships. This example indicates that these necessities could help students, who confront the deficiency of schooling to not only have access to education but also approach promising careers.
Alongside the influence of the rich in the education system, I believe that this responsibility should also be considered when it comes to housing. The main reason is that people these days, especially immigrants, usually confront the shortage of housing and tend to live in low-quality residential areas or even slums. This could lead to various problems related to the spread of harmful disease or a decline in their living standards. However, the rich could approach a project, which helps these people no longer struggle with their current circumstances. Taking Chinese architects as an example, who have collaborated with Cambodian authorities for years to build more private houses and dormitories. Consequently, the residents could afford to these places as they are reasonably priced and experience a more decent life.
In conclusion, although the difference between rich and poor has been obvious for hundreds of years, I think that it is more important if the rich could lend a hand to ones, who are living in difficult conditions.
