It is argued by some that exam results decide the final marks of a pupil, while others believe that there are many activities which teachers can base on to determine a student's final grades. In my opinion, I believe that although test results are important, we should look at some other sides of a student, such as attendance, participation, . . . To grade them.
In society nowadays, high scores are quite vital because many universities and companies will look at these and partly grade your ability. Therefore, if you pass tests with flying colors, you will have more job opportunities and higher salaries, as well. For example, if you dream of a scholarship in RMIT school, you have to achieve more than 8. 0 and 6. 5 in final exams and IELTS, respectively.
On the other hand, I would argue that other activities also contribute a huge part to a person's value so they should be considered besides exams. Through students' attendance, participation in class, homework, and examination, we can understand their attitudes towards study and their characters, too. Most importantly, these activities train your hard-working as you have to join every lesson or you will get low scores. By supporting ideas in class, you learn how to express yourself in a crow. These are the things that benefit your teamwork abilities, which is such an important skill in your future career.
In conclusion, I believe that when it comes to final grades, they should be marked not only in the examination but also through the study journey of every student.
