Both the reading passage and the lecture discussing about method of controlling the Cane Toad but in contrast way to the reading passage. Firstly, the reading passage explains that Toad was introduce in the Central America and South America to reduce the harmful insects but unfortunately this animal became over populated and started destroying the crops. So to control this species reading passage suggests that national fencing in Australia will help them to reduce the Toad population growth but the speaker refutes this statements by stating that the young Toad and it's eggs can travel through the stream easily so this method not going to works out. Secondly, the reading passage says that by arranging the volunteer to trap this animal because easy to catch them or kill the it's eggs, so that they can control the population of the Toad.
