One of the factors that can have a beneficial or adverse impact on economic growth and development is the role of government policies. To be an effective policymaker, one must understand how policy is developed, its implications, how the policy can be improved, and how more effective public policy can be formulated. Based on these requirements, as an economic analyst in Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, I am interested in continuing my studies in Public Policy and Management at the Corvinus University of Budapest by applying for “Stipendium Hungaricum Program”.
One of my most significant experiences was designing public policy from October 2020 to February 2021. Due to the impact of the Omnibus Law led by the government at the time, I was assigned to the core team tasked with developing new government regulations related to the Indonesian Free Trade Zone. The goal of these regulations is to increase investment and job creation by streamlining regulations and simplifying the licensing process in order to make doing business in Indonesia easier. This experience taught and prompted me to improve my knowledge of policymaking, particularly sustainability, as well as my decision-making skills by pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy and Management.
I am interested in studying in Hungary due to the fact it is a relatively safe country for staying, fees and living costs are relatively low compared to the rest of Europe. Moreover, Hungary has a reputation around the world as a country of learning and academia. Throughout its history, Hungarians have been awarded 16 Nobel prizes. A number of things we use in our daily lives are actually Hungarian inventions such as refrigerators, telephone exchanges, helicopters, voice film, film recorders, color television, plasma TV, TV stations, etc. Hungary also well-known as a country with historic urban centers has numerous World Heritage Sites including the largest lake in Central Europe, Lake Balaton, and the largest natural grassland in Europe.
