News stories on TV and in newspapers are very often accompanied by pictures. Some people say that these pictures are more effective than words. What is your opinion about this? v.5

Introduction of media had played enormous part in spreading information among masses. Numerous occasions are generally broadcasted in the pictorial form by both print and digital media, which a number of individuals consider to have more influence than words. I partially agree with this statement. This essay will discuss how effective both pictures and words are in detail. To list information observed much better through images, moreover expressions are understandable even by illiterate society who cannot read. Looking at visuals gives an overview of the story without even reading lengthy articles in newspapers. Watching seems (helpful) than mere hearing and reading, to quote individuals who are deaf tend to acquire knowledge by looking to pictures. Another extremely well-known example of strong impact of pictures is of ‘Amul milk’, it has advertisements in images consequently that its message could reach to the wider population. On the other hand, information is half gained without reading or hearing the whole incidence. It gives clear notion of what actually happened, for instance a number of pictures shows a criminal killing someone which will not be able to inform us the whole truth. Like what made him to do this, exclusively reading helps us give details of his life’s history. I think both pictures and words play vast role in depicting a story, hence Waring public. Looking merely on pictures can retain people in dark and it clearly results in spread of rumors and misinformation in the community. In retrospection, to my opinions above I would say that media is a great tool of communication in our society and every form of it should be givenrespect and encouraged. Reading and watching news along with news is additional bonus for individuals.
