My name is Korale Arachchige Dona Sandeepani Nayanani Koralearachchi and my passport number is N6785681. I currently reside in Gampaha, Sri Lanka and I am 27 years old. I have enrolled to study the Business Management Post-Degree Diploma program from January 2022 through December 2023 at the Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek, British Colombia, Canada starting on DATE. I studied at the Rathnawali Girls school Gampaha, throughout my primary and secondary level of education and it is sought out be one of the top national schools in the country. I sat for my G. C. E (Ordinary Level) examination in 2010 and passed all the 9 subjects, with 7 distinction passes and 2 very good passes. I have done my G. C. E Advanced Level examination in 2013 in commerce stream and passed with 04 distinction passes. I was eligible to enroll in one of the top government universities in Sri Lanka, with my Advanced Level examination results. Therefore, I graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, in 2018. This is a four-year degree, which gives undergraduates a solid foundation in the theory of business management and exposes them to contemporary business practices. In addition to my educational qualifications, I have been exceptionally active outside of the classroom. I was a member of the school and university volleyball teams. I was a member of the school netball team and the athletic team as well. As a young girl, I always aspired to become a leading businesswoman in Sri Lanka. To achieve my dream, I started my career in the business management field after graduation, which strengthened me with hands-on experience in managing a business. Now I have more than three years of experience in the human resource management field and I am currently working at Oshadhi Higher Education Institute as a Human Resource and Administration Executive. My husband works as a Human Resource Executive at Vogue Jewellers (Pvt) Ltd. He graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, in 2017. My father worked as a commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department and my mother worked as a Principle. Both my parents are now retired. I am the youngest of my family and I have a brother and a sister. Both of them are married with children and work in private companies. My brother works as a TITLE at COMPANY NAME and my sister works as a TITLE at COMPANY NAME. I selected Canada due to a variety of reasons having researched all other options for me to seek. With the ever-changing nature of today’s corporate management field, I need to gain contemporary knowledge far from my home country. Doing as such in one of the most reputed colleges in Canada will give me a novel advantage in my career pursuits. More importantly, the cost of tuition is less compared to countries like Australia, the US, and the UK. Degrees and Diploma courses which are offered from Canadian Universities and colleges are highly reputed all over the world and the quality of education is of a high standard, mainly because the whole system is being regulated by the Canadian government. All Canadian institutes provide a dynamic, innovative, and challenging environment in which one can create and nurture their real potential. Every year, talented students from all over the globe do come to Canada to study so that they can make their dream come true. Studying with them will inevitably expose me to their cultures and ethics, as well as improvise my communication skills. Canadian qualification will surely be a strong base for boosting my career and building my future. In addition to that, Canada is a safe and peaceful nation with superb health care facilities and cultural diversity. Obtaining a degree program is not purely an educational qualification but also a thriving way of displaying that you are competent enough to work in the cooperate industry. I researched for post-graduate programs in Sri Lanka, and most of the curriculums of those programs are merely based on the theoretical aspect and the practical content is not to the mark that I’m expecting. Sri Lankan post-graduate programs are more academic centric whereas Canadian post-graduate programs are more career-focused. If I get the opportunity to pursue higher studies in Canada, I would be able to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks in Sri Lanka as the Canadian education system poses cutting-edge career-focused content, and having highly qualified academic staff members is a huge advantage for me in moving forward. Northern Lights College is one of the most sought-after public colleges in all of Canada and is one of the best colleges in British Columbia that thrives in the field of Business Management. I selected Northern Lights College since it provides a career-centered education. As I considered my alternatives for post-graduate studies, the Business Management Post Graduate Diploma has emerged for various reasons. The interdisciplinary way of the program is particularly appealing to me, as this will give me much more extensive knowledge in Business Management. Subjects related to Human Capital such as human resource management, workplace communication, organizational communication, and management skills for supervisors will have a massive positive impact on my career. Additionally, knowledge in finance and other fields of management will be beneficial in becoming a unique and leading businesswoman in Sri Lanka. I intend to further my career and become a Human Resource Manager in the business management field after completing my Post Graduate Diploma. Hence, a curriculum related to human capital will add value to my career. Furthermore, other business management subjects will help me in the future, when coping with other departments of a business, such as the finance department and marketing department. My profile is having all the pre-requisites for admission at Northern Lights College, and I have secured my entry there. I have secured a 3. 58 GPA with a second class upper division in my under-graduation and scored overall 7. 5 bands in my IELTS test. When it comes to the financial aspects, the required funds for the tuition fee and living expenses are covered by myself and my parents. These funds are a result of the continuous savings of my parents, which are allocated for my education. The total of the combined funds of my parents and myself come to a value of Rs. VALUE (Rs. 000 million), which is roughly CAD 00000 Paid student deposit of 6000 CAD, which goes for the first-semester tuition fee Current funds are enough for the tuition fee and living expenses for two years which amounts to (45, 528 CAD) Therefore, I am fully capable to pay the rest of my tuition payment and these funds are more than enough for me to cover the cost of living in Canada. After completion of my post-graduate diploma in Canada, I intend to come back to my home country with an outstanding skillset and join the business management field, which continues to thrive in Sri Lanka, as a Human Resource Manager. Since human capital is considered the most important asset of a corporate entity and there is and will be a massive demand for high caliber human resource professionals, in Sri Lanka. So, I would like to come back as a highly-skilled manager and join a reputed organization to make a bright career. Hence, after completing my course, I am confident that I will quickly get a suitable job in a leading organization in Sri Lanka. In addition to my career perspective in Sri Lanka, there are several other responsibilities and personal reasons to come back to Sri Lanka. Firstly, my husband will be working in Sri Lanka and he will be waiting for my return from Canada. We got married in January 2021 after a four-year relationship and I will be coming back to my country to be with him. Secondly, as the youngest of the family, I am responsible for taking care of my parents. In 2015 my father had a heart attack and had a stent implanted in his heart. Since my mother is also suffering from arthritis, I have to come back to Sri Lanka to take care of them. Thirdly, since my parents gifted me our family home, I am eager to settle down in my hometown, where I grew up. I want to live in my family home in Sri Lanka surrounded by family members and friends. In conclusion, I am aware of the expenses and tuition fees of my studies, and my parent and I can cover the cost incurred for the above purpose. My parents are stable in Sri Lanka and they can comfortably afford the expenses for a period of 2 years. I have provided sufficient information about my intention to follow this Business Management Post Graduate Diploma and I’m so confident of getting the qualification in Canada. Finally, I would be very much appreciated your cordial support for granting me a student visa to successfully obtain the internationally recognized Graduate qualification from Canada
