Mumps and measles are two of the most contagious diseases in the world. To understand measles and mumps, let’s examine the differences between them. First of all, they both caused by a viruses and they are contagious diseases that spread by coughing and sneezing. Second, mumps symptoms includes fever, tiredness. Likewise, measles symptoms include fever, headache, tiredness. Also, their incubation period are less than 18 days. Measles can be prevented by taking the MMR vaccine. Similarly, mumps also can be prevented by taking the MMR vaccine. The measles vaccine has two doses just as the mumps. The first dose should be taken at the age of 12 to 15 months, and the second dose should be taken at the age of 4 to 6 years. In conclusion, measles and mumps are two serious diseases and they can be prevented by taking the vaccination.
