Many people argue that the expenses of maintaining a pet maybe prohibitive adding to this that some families are not stable, and thus animals would probably suffer neglect, meaning that it would be unfair to keep them. My personal opinion is that there are many benefits from taking care of domestic animals for children and their families.
Firstly, pet’s ownership is beneficial for the whole family especially young children, for example kids who grow up with family pets can learn many crucial skills and develop memories they will cherish for life.
Secondly, taking care of animals bring the emotional support that children receive from pets meaning that child feel more secure and more confident, many studies have proven that regular contact with pests or compassion animals is physically emotionally and psychologically beneficial even for adults.
Finally, children and families with pets often spend more time outdoors and exercising for example walking dogs, feeding, playing in the garden, all this activities reduce stress and feelings of anxiety, also children who have grown up in a household with pets tend to be at less risk of asthma and allergies in later life.
To conclude I think that carry for an animal is a good way for children to learn responsibility and respond to the needs of others with care an empathy, sharing responsibilities of a pet with the all the family members allows for teamwork, bonding and communication, Caring for pets also helps children to learn to respect relationships, nature and the environment. But of course, it is not always practical or possible for every family.
