The passage and the lecture are about the advantages and disadvantages of the advances in global communication by internet respectively. The passage states that the methods of global communication are inexpensive and efficient, which helps the contemporary companies to work 24/7 that gives the opportunity for potential reduction of time frame and even the 12 hours can be reduced to 8 hours if 3 companies are included for the employees of each company. However, the professor refutes the advantages citing an example from his experience.
