In today's world, social media websites are used by people of all age groups, thereby creating a large user pool and this has become the only source of information for the associated users. In my opinion, pros of being a part of the social media outweighs the cons, and this essay will elaborate on the same. At the outset, with the advent of social media websites many users are logged in most of the time, either sharing information with their friends, or family members. Moreover, these websites can be considered as the fastest platform to provide the latest happenings around the world, as people can post the news, any video or audio at the click of the button. Also, this platform has brought the families together whose members are staying at long distances. Apart from this, being alone may not be deprived in this world, as here people can make new friends, even play games with them, and expand their social network, which eventually becomes the information source around the world glob

Also, this platform has brought the families together whose members are staying at long distances. Apart from this, being alone may not be deprived in this world, as here people can make new friends, even play games with them, and expand their social network, which eventually becomes the information source around the world globally. For instance, any mis-happenings can be shared to alert friends using Facebook. On the other hand, social media surfing takes away a lot of time from users impacting other tasks. Although one can find information about latest trends, there are other mediums as well, such as news channels, newspapers. Also, spending multiple hours over the social media impacts their physical and mental well-being, isolating them from family members. For instance, children play games over the social media affecting their eyesight. To conclude, in my opinion, advantages outweigh the disadvantages as this platform has changed the outlook and perspective to a larger extent enabling people to connect almost day in and day out.
