It affected our physical activities and also our mental and emotional well-being. The mental well-being of this generation is slowly deteriorating due to many factors. A few notable reasons such as pressure that arises from media and the pandemic. The top reason people reached out for help was due to "anxiety-related concerns. " Figures showed about 30% of callers in April; 27% of callers in May reported feeling increased levels of anxiety. Also, this generation's youth toils with recent academic learning modalities since the classroom setting utilizes video conferencing applications. It is evident in social media since hashtags such as " #ACADEMIC FREEZE" complement their complaints. As of the 4th of September 2020, it has over 128, 000 tweets on Twitter alone. Some of the reasons that were posted on social media were slow internet connection, heavy workload, and difficulty in understanding lessons. Not to mention that some netizens took it too far by selling obscene or nude portraits to cover mobile data or gadget expenses for online classes. Lastly, not all effects are bleak ones. There is a light to this tunnel. Although this moment in time brings us a misleading facade, it accords us several opportunities that we turn a blind eye. It gave us the time to apprehend lifelong clarifications (Kraaijenbrink, 2020). "As such, the virus shows us that, no matter how well-planned and organized we are and no matter how much we live in the Anthropocene—the era characterized by significant human impact—we are not in control. One simple virus is disrupting everything. This offers a great opportunity. " Also, there are advantages, such as more flexible time and increased productivity. Companies have found—many somewhat surprisingly—that this experiment went much better than expected, with over 90% of employers saying productivity has stayed the same or increased as a result of remote working. It has multiple facades, but they don't just manifest in your very eyes all at once. You have to look 360 degrees and opt for a side to believe. In adversity, there are contrasting sides. There are negative effects, such as deteriorating mental health and fatiguing learning modalities. But also, it has advantages. You have to contemplate on which angle you should view the matter.
