Our lives are getting busier as the technology advances. Human errors are a common mistake regarding how people are obliged to multitask in the contemporary world. One sort of these human errors is when instructors have a few inacuracies while lecturing. Some people are of the opinion that the lecturer should be noted by the audience about the error while others disagree with this. I believe that the former group holds the right idea, and preferably, the notation had better be given after the speech. I posit this notion based on many reasons, two of which will be explored throughout this essay.
The first and foremost reason is that the speaker may correct the inaccuracy further in his lecture. Since giving a public talk may bring some people anxiety, small mistakes are normal while doing so. Usually the instructor already has the correct knowledge, and there is a possibility that he restates it in the rest of the lecture. For example, we have all attended classes during which the teacher makes neglectable mistakes. As youngsters, students might find it humilating and tend to notify the teacher, but when they get more mature, they perceive it is quite ignorable. Therefore, this shows how interrupting the the speecher is not the best approach.
The second reason is that reminding the lecturer about an error he made, might cause him shame and further nervousness. It is indispensable that the audience show respect toward the speaker and they had better not distruct his self-esteem by mentioning a mistake in front of other people. Therefore, it is of high morality to anticipate until the session is over and then, talk to him privatey. It also should be noted that in this case, not mentioning the mistake is also erronious since the lecturer has false information and might make the same error again. For instance, when I was defending my graduate thesis, I explained a flake of it worng. My supervisor did not interrupt the meeting to correct me, knowing how nervous I was. Instead, he rectified my knowledge on that later.
In conclusion, it is preferable to wait until the end of the lecture in order to the speaker rather than notify him while talking, or not saying anything at all. Not only, may he correct himself later but also his pride will be well preserved.
