I would like to describe a trip I took to HaLong Bay last summer with my best friends. Well, back then, I had just won a scholarship to a prestigious university in Vietnam. Therefore, I decided to reward myself with a trip to HaLong Bay in 3 days.
To begin with, we had to do some preparations for that trip. First and foremost, my friends and I read several travel blogs to pick the suitable destination. After checking the weather forecast, we finally decided to go to HaLong Bay– a popular travel destination/ tourist attraction located in Quang Ninh province. Because we did not contact any travel agencies, a detailed itinerary had to be planned carefully. One of my friends even suggested buying travel insurance for the sake of our safety. Having successfully booked the coach tickets in advance, I did the packing right away. The coach began at 6 a. m if my memory serves me right. In the beginning, we took some photos together next to the town signs as soon as we reached Ha Long city. We tried to mingle with many local people along the trip and then also bought souvenirs for our family members. My favorite type of accommodation is a hotel so we stayed there. The next morning, we spent the whole day travelling by cruise boat through lots of caves, islands, peninsulas, and even pagodas. Unfortunately, I felt appallingly seasick and also had sunstroke so we got back to the hotel and relaxed. In the evening, three of us sampled the local cuisine at the night market while having a chinwag, and we even discussed some travel plans in the near future. After coming back from that trip, I posted plenty of photos on social networking sites, which received a lot of comments. Regarding the reasons why I celebrated my achievement in this way, I could get away from the hustle and bustle of the city’s life and get close to nature instead. Finally, I didn’t forget to write a review of all the destinations we visited and posted it on a well-known travel blog to share our group’s travelling experience.
That was such an enjoyable trip that I would never forget.
