The leap from high school to college is a large one. Many Vietnamese students entering post-secondary education have found that the experience there is much more different than the one they had in high school. That contains the huge difference in the payment and the academic challenges. Starting with high school experience, the tuition and cost of living are reasonable. Generally, high school students have their parents pay for most of the expenses including the tuition and the fare. Moreover, they do not have to worry about the cost of eating since classes usually start once in the morning or the afternoon on a day, which means that they can eat at home. With the scholarship produced for the excellent by the authority, the fee is cheaper when it is not a big deal for parents to disburse. Besides that, knowledge acquisition is uncomplicated. High school students barely need to follow and proceed with school’s schedule, and they only attend five or fewer lessons a day. Therefore, the amount of knowledge is not much and neither is the homework. Meanwhile, the payment for post-secondary attendees is quite challenging. They have to pay a high amount of money a month such as a fee, fare, and the cost of living. Mostly, college fee is quite expensive that even some students have to work part-time jobs to earn for living. Furthermore, college knowledge is difficult to achieve, and sometimes they have to learn things that they have never heard before. Also, presentation and scientific research are required in college that takes students lots of time and effort. In brief, it is true to say that college is more expensive than high school and provides a higher level of education. To become a better version of ourselves, we should try hard and take responsibility for our studying.
