The author of the reading believes that asteroid colonization is a good choice for people, and provides three reasons of support. However, the lecturer rejects the claim made in the reading, casting doubt on all the three reasons presented in the passage. First, according to the reading, asteroids are smaller than planets, so they have lower gravity, and it is easy for a spacecraft to land or take off. This point is challenged by the lecturer.
