The line graph compares the amount of wheat being exported in three different places around the globe over 5 years period.
Overall, Canada was the country which exported wheat considerably higher than other countries. In addition, although an upward trend can be seen in European Community, Australia experienced the opposite.
In 1985, approximately 20 million tons of wheat were exported, and after a marginal decline, the figures went up dramatically to its peak of 25 million tons in 1988 before being plummeted to just under 15 million tons of wheat in 1989 and finished the period at the same amount where it started.
In contrast, European Community exported 17 million tons of wheat which showed 3 million tons of decrease after the first year. However, the figures again rose up gradually till 1988, after which, they showed a sharp increase up to over 20 million tons of wheat in the final year. In regard to Australia, 15 million tons of wheat were exported and the figures completed the period at just over 10 million tons wheat, a decline of 5 million tons.
