The bar graph illustrates the amount of trips made by students between 5 and 12 years old to travel to and from school in 1990 and after 10 years using several types of transport. It is clear from the chart that in 1990 the majority of the children went to school on foot and reached the high of almost 12 millions, however in 2010 there was a dramatical decrease with a value below of 6 millions. The students who went to school by car had the opposite trend that who went on foot, because in 1990 they had a value above 4 millions and in 2010 they climbed rapidly reached the maximun value in 2010 (around 11 millions). The amount of children who went to school by bicycle and on foot & by bus started in 1990 with almost 6 milliones each one but had a dropped in 2010 (2 and 3 millions respectively). Children who went to school were less in 2010 than in 1990 with 2 millions of difference.
