The two maps give us the idea of how the town of Langley was in 1910 and how it is now in 1950. It clearly shows how the small houses and factories are replaced by enormous flats and mansions. And also the old railway lines are demolished and new roadways have bee developed. In 1910, Langley had a railway line to its south side and the railway worker's cottages just besides it. The Jordan street street was located to the west side surrounded by small townhouses on either side. The center portion of the town comprised of store, laundry, cafe and small houses. The factory was located to the north side and the area had wasteland to the north and south sides. Consequently, this changed after four decades. The railway line, factory and small houses were no longer needed and hence are replaced by huge flats and mansions. The cottages are replaced by Sherman park which included a pond and children's play area. A new lane is built connecting the Sherman street and which further connects to the Jordan Street. New stores are added to the east side of the town along with laundry and cafe. Thus the Langley town has changed a lot in four decades with enormous buildings and new road connecting to the other amenities of the town.
