The bar chart shows the proportion of obese adults in four different countries, namely Japan, Finland, Australia, USA, during 1980, 1990 and 2000.
Overall, it can be considered that the general pattern still increased in all four countries over these periods, while the USA accounted for the highest percentage in four countries.
As can be seen in the chart, the percentage of the fat adult population in Japan reached the lowest place with an equal distribution in 1980 and 1990 about 2, 5% and around 4% in 2000. Whereas the proportion of overweight mature people in the USA made up for the highest in four countries in 1980 roughly 15%, it saw a significant increase in 1990 around by 10% and peaked at over 32% in 2000.
Similarly, there was a slight surge in the fat adult population in Finland over two decades from approximately 8% in 1980 to nearly 12, 5% in 2000, while the percentage of overweight adults in Australia in 1980 and 1990 was nearly similar with the number of whom in Finland in 1990 and 2000 in turn. However, the proportion of obese adults Australians in 2000 was twice as high as that in 1990 and the number of fat people in Finland at the same time closed behind 20%.
