This table compares the weekly intake of milk and butter between the different ages in a European country. The milk consumption gradually increases along with ageing. Although the intake of butter has a similar feature, there is an exception in the oldest group. In terms of the percentage of fat, the younger more consumes full-fat products than the other three groups. The oldest group drinks 700ml milk more than the youngest per week. This amount is under 1671ml for the 26 to 65 age group. People aged 26-45 and 65+ are much more inclined to consume low-fat milk, 1320ml and 1330ml respectively. Also, low-fat milk uses more than full-fat milk in the middle-age group by 10 per cent. Butter consumption is 12g per week in the younger which is lower than the others. This figure dramatically increases in the middle-age group and peaks at 60 g; however, this amount has halved in the senior group. The 26-45 age group has a similar fat trend in the intake of milk and butter, and the middle-aged and senior group equally consume both the low-fat and full-fat butter.
