In detail, over two- third household in the USA had TV sets in 1920 and percentage increased each year and takes the lion’s share, at 98%. This is followed by the rate of landline telephones with only 4% in 2005. Similarly, washing machines, fridges were the three most popular appliances. Only 2% American families used computer in1980 but the proportion saw a dramatic rise and reached 90% in 2005.
