This graph illustrates the amount of money spent on shopping for the five different categories in the UK, Australia, and America. Units are measured in millions of dollars. Overall, the consumption of shopping in Australia and America experienced upward trends throughout the time, while the consumption in the UK witnessed a downward trend between 2000 and 2005. It can clearly be seen from the graph, in 2000, the amount of money spent on shopping in Australia accounted for 150 million dollars, while in America it started at 100 million dollars spent for shopping. Then, there was a slight increase of money by 50 million dollars in Australia, but it declined at 180 millions of dollars, while consumption in America gradually increased in 2002. However, the consumption increased sharply at 300 million dollars in America, but ended up at 290 million dollars in 2005. The amount of money in Australia started increasing dramatically in 2003 and levelled off until 280 million dollars in 2005. In the UK, in 2000, the consumption of money for shopping started at 50 millions dollars, then it slightly increased at 60 million dollars, but dramatically declined at 45 million dollars in 2002. However, there was a slight increase in the UK at 70 million dollars in 2003 and then it started declining gradually at 60 million dollars in 2005.
