These pie charts illustrate the electricity production units XQQY
These pie charts illustrate the electricity production units by five different sources of fuel in Australia and France in a period between 1980 and 2000.
In 1980, the total production in Australia was 100 units. Half of the units were produced by coal compared with 10 units by oil. Meanwhile, electricity units generated by the natural gas and the hydro power were similar at 20 units. In 2002, the total units increased to 170 units. The highest proportion produced by coal at 130 units, whereas, only 2 units generated by each of the natural gas and oil. 36 units came from the hydro power.
In France, the total number of units in 1980 was 90 units, Coal and the natural gas produced the same amount at 25 units. However, amount by the hydro power dedicated only 5 units. Units generated by oil and the nuclear power were 20 and 15 respectively. On the other hand, 180 units were produced in 2000. The majority was by the nuclear power. Production by both of coal and oil didn’t change. The produced units by the hydro power and the natural gas declined to 2 units.
Overall, the total units increased dramatically in 2000 in both countries. Also, Australia relied on coal as the main source of energy in 1980 and 2000 while in France, the nuclear power became an important source
