These days railways are becoming one of the major transport medium in any country. Governments should improve infrastructure of railways more as compare to roads by spending money. In my opinion, I do not agree with this statement. Roads always have been played an important role in the transportation system. It is the only one mode of transport, which can be reach in any part of the world. It is one of the best and more accessible transport medium. Let us talk about one of the most important negative aspect of spending more money on railways rather then roads. It can be found that making railway tracks in remote areas is not an easy task. There will be need of spending huge amount of money over there and maintenance cost found also higher. It can not be easy access for public. For example, it has been found that in most of the developing countries like India and China, roads are one of the popular option for people. Besides that, if we talk about using railways for the purpose of industrial goods movements, it can not be helpful because of lack of contact in rural and deserted areas. Building a road costs lesser in rural areas as compare to building a railway track. The government of any country has to invest almost double cost of making railway tracks. Thus to conclude, the governments should not spend more money on railways. They should focus on more roads because road is the only medium, which is an easy option for people. Spending more money on railways would not be a wise decision by governments of any country.
