More than half of people migrated for specific work-related reasons, causing 30% of immigration and 29% of emigration. In addition, 12% of people came to the UK to find work, while 22% left the UK for the similar reason. The percentage of people in the UK who immigrated or emigrated to accompany someone was 15% and 13% respectively. Moreover, more than a quarter decided to come to the United Kingdom for education, while only 4% emigrated from the country for the same reason. In addition, 18% decided to leave the country for no particular reason, while only 6% decided to come to the UK for the same cause.
