The two pie charts illustrate the different forms of transport in the city of Cambridge in 2008 and 2018. Overall, at the beginning of the period cars was the most preferred vehicle and walking contributed the least popular. Comparatively, at the end of the period bicycles came up with the majority among various method of transit. As regards bicycle, there has been a huge change over the decades. Bicycle transport was only chosen by 17% of people. Over the long run, however, cycling experienced a significant increase of just under a third. In addition, walking had the lowest preferences of moving around the city at 11% in 2008, and experienced a more than threefold increase to one quarter in 2018. The largest proportion was for cars, accounting for more than two fifths of the total in 2008. Although, at the end of period car preferences declined significantly to a fifth. Regarding buses little change could be seen with a difference of just 5%.
