The two maps below show an island, before and after the construction of some tourist facilities. kY50e
The diagrams show an island, about 300m in length, which has been developed into a resort. At a glance we can see that the main change has been the addition of accommodation in two areas, and the establishment of four other features. Prior to the alterations only natural features existed on the island: namely a few scattered trees and a beach in the west. During the development, the island saw the installation of several facilities for holidaymakers. Central to these was the addition of a restaurant, a reception centre, and a pier (facilitating sailing boats), located to the north, in the middle and to the south respectively, and which are connected to each other by a road that can carry vehicles. Further facilities include accommodation in the form of bungalows, 15 in all, which have been constructed in two areas: one to the east of the reception centre and another to its west. The two groups are circled around central points and are connected by footpaths.
