The amount of France’s international tourists stabilized at 76 million; meanwhile, US, UK and Italy recorded a slight growth of 1 million visitors, which is equal to 1, 5%, 1, 8% and 2, 3%, to 67, 56 and 45 million respectively over the period. In comparison, there was a small rise in Spain’s figure of 3, 6% to 57 million in 2010.
The one-year period observed a leap of 33% equivalent to more than 10 million visitors in Turkey; China followed the same trend with a 55% surge from 22 to 34 million, along with Germany’s figure experiencing a two-fold jump in visitors’ number. In contrast, Hong Kong, with its figure falling (11%) from 10 million to 9 million is the only country that saw a decline in the number of foreign tourists.
