The table compares the energy production by different fuel sources in UK. xOM7a
The tabular chart depicts the information regarding amount of energy produced by five different fuel sources in England. The data has been calibrated in million tonnes. Overall, it can be seen that oil and natural gas were two main sources of energy as compared to other fuel sources. However, the minimum source of energy was produced by hydropower. After having a myopic observation, it is identified that 76 million tonnes of energy were produced by natural gas in 1990. Whereas, the consumption was doubled after 6 year and reached at 96 million tonnes over a span of 10 year. Resemblance could be seen in case of energy produced by oil from 1990 to 2000, by accounting for 78 million tonnes. While, the production of energy by coal was 50 million tonnes in 1996, it was approximately equal in 1990 and 2000 (34 million tonnes). On the other hand, the amount of energy generated by nuclear power were 20 million tonnes and it doubled in the next upcoming year. In contrast, it decreased about one - fifth(25 million tonnes) in 2000. It is interesting to see that the least amount of energy were generated by hydropower by figure of 0. 3, 0. 4 and 0. 6 million tonnes between 1990 to 2000 respectively.
