The table compares the numbers of students who attends various courses in two different academic terms, at a distance of 10 years, first in all the UK (England, Wales and northern Ireland) and then just higher education institution in England.
It can be clearly seen that the percentage of student’s increase between the years 2003/2004 and 2013/2014 is similar in all the categories compareted, even if the real numbers of students just in England are a while less, naturally. For example the increase of total of students in higher education is 31% in all UK and 32% just in England.
Students of the undergraduate courses prefer to attend them part-time instead of full-time. In fact the percentage is much higher in both of the categories (all UK 45%; all England 40%). Undergraduate full-time in all UK is 23% and in England is 25%, just a little bit more.
Otherwise in postgraduate courses, full-time is the most popular choice between the students, reaching the 79% in England and 76% in all UK. On the contrary the percentage drops in the postgraduate part-time courses, respectively falling to 15% and 14%.
