the given chart compares the number of inhabitants who cycled to work in detached areas of the UK from 2001 to 2011. overall, It is clear that there was a general upward trend in the proportion change of people travelling to work by bicycles in all areas shown throughout the 10-years period. Inner London was the only area that had the largest number of citizen riding bicycles to work in both 2001 and 2011. in 2001, inside London had over 43 thousand commuters cycling to work, around 10 thousand higher than outside London. This figures for others were under 10 thousand units, while the least statistics for Cardiff, with just over 8 hundred units. in the next 10 years, Inner London saw the sharpest change in the percentage of people commuting to work, with a growth to 106 thousand, increased by 144% above 2001. Brighton and Hove had the second highest rise with an increase by 109%. Outer London still occupy the second position in term of the number of people cycling to work, despite of its least percentage change in 2011, at 45%.
