The two maps illustrate how the ground floor of the museum changed in the years 1990-2010Overall, the ground floor underwent a number of major alterations although its two different history rooms along with museum office remained the same. In 1990, there was a large archeology gallery situated in the north-east side of the ground floor of museum which was completely redesigned for building two desperate areas intended to encourage children interaction and the display of posters instead, with the walls being fully removed to make there an open area. The entrance located in the south of the ground floor doubled in size whereas the local history room in the right side of the entrance remained almost the same. Another important changes were to the left side of the museum. Reception counter was separated from museum office and replaced close to the entrance. There was natural history room located beside the museum office, and no changes were made to those areas. In the meantime, the lift was constructed between natural history room and gift shop which was widened with the addition of Cafe. Finally, the statue was taken from the northern part of the ground floor to the center.
